Engineering Department

We understand the need for the highest level of customer service. We deal with our clients professionally and efficiently, resolving issues as quickly as possible, whilst managing expectations every step of the way.

Our accredited in-house engineers oversee all aspects of work; vehicle inspection, repair estimate agreement and reparation, or total loss settlement and disposal. Our engineers are highly qualified and members of numerous accreditation bodies including: Federation Internationale des Experts en Automobiles, Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors, Institute of Road Transport Engineers and the Society of Operations Engineers.

We have established a network of BSI Kitemark (PAS 125) approved repairers consisting of specialist repairers of cars and light vans and a separate LGV network to manage the repair of commercial vehicles of all sizes; we can deal with fleets of Mini’s to 44 tonne articulated lorries. Once called upon, our in-house engineers react quickly and appropriately to the incident, proactively managing the repair process to reduce down time and costs, or managing the settlement and disposal of the vehicle where total loss has occurred. We are continuously looking to increase the network and will introduce additional repairers who are accredited or working towards the PAS 125 accreditation.

Utilising the Audatex system enables us to process jobs quickly and efficiently, with estimates able to be produced and agreed within hours. Images of the damaged vehicle are stored within the system, giving the client the opportunity to view the extent of the damage themselves. These images are also attached to the engineering reports, ensuring maximum speed of service and full audit/visibility. We use the Audatex system as often as possible to provide a prompt, cost effective service.

We continually monitor the progress of the repair keeping you informed of progress. All repairs follow strict service guidelines and management information is supplied on request.

There are currently over 200 repairers currently signed onto our UK network covering LGV, car and light van repairs and more are continually being carefully selected and added, meaning there will be an approved garage nearby that is ready to deal with the vehicle(s).

Using our repair service:

  • Vehicles will be collected by the repairer.
  • Courtesy cars can be made available.
  • Estimates are prepared, agreed and authorised within hours of notification of the claim, wherever possible.
  • With the Audatex system, we will retain particulars of the claim and images of the damage for future reference and audit.
  • There is no longer a need to obtain two quotations from competing garages.
  • Repairers will prioritise our job referrals resulting in reduced down time.
  • Vehicles are all quality approved, including checking that the vehicle is returned clean and tidy, to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Repairs are guaranteed for up to three years.
  • Regular audits are carried out to ensure compliance with our service standards.
  • Management Information can be compiled from our estimating system to provide data on costs, trends, etc.

Where Total Loss is identified, we will liaise with salvage agents to collect the vehicle. Salvage disposal can be arranged in accordance with your instructions or by internet bidding if required.

The appointed engineer can also make direct contact to agree settlement figures, if required.
